Feeling home for Christmas

When I was growing up, we would always go to my Grandparents house the day after Christmas to celebrate with them and extended family.  Those day after Christmas celebrations are some of my very favorite Christmas memories.  My sweet Grandma would always make the most delicious little cookies.  Raspberry thumbprint.  Yum.  They are to this day my favorite Christmas cookie.  I have tried to duplicate them, even with her own recipe and they never seem to turn out the same.  It's been a long time since I was home for Christmas and since I was able to taste those little bits of Heaven made by her own hands.  Today, I received a package in the mail and yes, it was filled with them! My jaw dropped when I opened the box, my whole day was made better.  I felt like I was home for Christmas, a feeling I long for being so far away.

Growing Girls

Some recent pictures of the girls. We have been busy! We moved about 20 minutes south of where we were living so that Brady could be closer to school, he walks now! It was a hard move but it will be good for us! Hazel is 9 1/2mo now and she is everywhere. She crawls and pulls herself up on everything!

Easter Festivities

The girls had a fun time dying Easter eggs today!

Some Lucy Lovin

Ruby pushes Lucy on the swing and she also loves to go by herself.

Her hair is getting long. She loves the braids and the crimps!

Lucy's preschool class went on a field trip to the local grocery store (not as good as Wegmans....). It was still fun!

The girls met the Easter Bunny and loved it!!

Hazel Bee

We've been doing a lot lately. Hazel in the stoller like a baby doll. Hazel pretending to do yoga, she moves all over the place! Sometimes she still falls asleep when I feel her and its precious. When we lay her down to drink a bottle she doesn't relax, her back and bum are off the ground! She had some 6mo pictures taken and her first time in a swing!

A Little Rhubarb

It's been pretty nice outside. Ruby likes to take the mini jeep, which she has lovingly named 'the driver thing', and go get the mail.

I borrowed a crimper straight from 1980 the other day and crimped both the girls hair. Ruby looked like Doc Brown.

She has quite a sense if style. Finding her diaper clad, pajama top, snow hat, sunglasses, and church boots is not unusual. She's the best.

We babysat a friends kids the other day. Ruby loves babies so much that she pulled over the highchair to sit next to the baby. Also, she can't get enough of Hazel Bee.

We went on a little Easter egg hunt at the grocery store and Ruby was delighted.
