NY Girl

Our trip to NY certainly started off very exciting. Our plane left at 7 in the morning. When I woke up at 5:15 to get ready and be off to the airport I went in to find Lucy crying in her crib, and to my surprise when I picked her up she was burnig up! She has never had a fever before so she felt super hot to me. I took her temp and it was 100.8. I was hysterical because I didn't know what to do given this was her first encounter with any sort of real sickness. I called her pediatrition (who was NOT too happy to be woken up that early) and gave her some tylenol and we were off, a little late, but still we ended up making the flight just fine.

This is actually a picture of her on our return flight, on the way there she was so lethargic because of her fever that she practically slept on me the whole time. It was so strange to see her like that because anyone that knows her knows that she is not a super cuddler. Needless to say, ever since that flight she must have realized that she does like to cuddle because she has turned into a cuddle monster. It is so cute.

We went to visit Grandma Cathy.

and Grandpa Mark.
After Lucy was feeling a little better, her fever topped at 101 but had broken by the next morning, Grandma gave her a bath in the sink. Cutest thing ever.
(look at that face!)
She was in heaven!

She met and played with Aunt Anne.

and was so sweet with Great-Grandma Barbara.

My little sister Rebecca had the best time molding Lucy's face into smiles like this one. It was hilarious.

and she met my favorite person ever, my cousin Erin.
She introduced Lucy to Michael.

After that we were on the road again to go visit my sister Erica. She lives in CT which is like
5 1/2 hr drive. Lucy did pretty well in the car considering all the changes we were throwing at her!

This pic is pretty blurry but it is Lucy and Erica!

She got to meet and play with her cousin Peter who is only 2 mo older than she is. It was so fun being pregnant at the same time as my sister and these two babes had such a fun time playing together!

More Lucy and Peter

She also got to play with my brother Adam and his wife Dorothy. She couldnt get enough of them, they were always getting her to laugh.

Lucy in her carseat.

We spent a lot of time in here, she got pretty familiar with her beads. She did so well. With the time zone changes, the different places and houses she slept in, the different noises and smells, the airplane rides, layovers, delayed flights, weird people wanting to play with her, all the new family she met and being sick in the beginning.
She was an angel.
