NY Girl

Our trip to NY certainly started off very exciting. Our plane left at 7 in the morning. When I woke up at 5:15 to get ready and be off to the airport I went in to find Lucy crying in her crib, and to my surprise when I picked her up she was burnig up! She has never had a fever before so she felt super hot to me. I took her temp and it was 100.8. I was hysterical because I didn't know what to do given this was her first encounter with any sort of real sickness. I called her pediatrition (who was NOT too happy to be woken up that early) and gave her some tylenol and we were off, a little late, but still we ended up making the flight just fine.

This is actually a picture of her on our return flight, on the way there she was so lethargic because of her fever that she practically slept on me the whole time. It was so strange to see her like that because anyone that knows her knows that she is not a super cuddler. Needless to say, ever since that flight she must have realized that she does like to cuddle because she has turned into a cuddle monster. It is so cute.

We went to visit Grandma Cathy.

and Grandpa Mark.
After Lucy was feeling a little better, her fever topped at 101 but had broken by the next morning, Grandma gave her a bath in the sink. Cutest thing ever.
(look at that face!)
She was in heaven!

She met and played with Aunt Anne.

and was so sweet with Great-Grandma Barbara.

My little sister Rebecca had the best time molding Lucy's face into smiles like this one. It was hilarious.

and she met my favorite person ever, my cousin Erin.
She introduced Lucy to Michael.

After that we were on the road again to go visit my sister Erica. She lives in CT which is like
5 1/2 hr drive. Lucy did pretty well in the car considering all the changes we were throwing at her!

This pic is pretty blurry but it is Lucy and Erica!

She got to meet and play with her cousin Peter who is only 2 mo older than she is. It was so fun being pregnant at the same time as my sister and these two babes had such a fun time playing together!

More Lucy and Peter

She also got to play with my brother Adam and his wife Dorothy. She couldnt get enough of them, they were always getting her to laugh.

Lucy in her carseat.

We spent a lot of time in here, she got pretty familiar with her beads. She did so well. With the time zone changes, the different places and houses she slept in, the different noises and smells, the airplane rides, layovers, delayed flights, weird people wanting to play with her, all the new family she met and being sick in the beginning.
She was an angel.

Unsure

She's looking quite mischevious. I'm not sure how to deal with a baby girl that can move around.....but it sure is adorable.

Off

Lucy and I are are off to NY in the morning to visit with my family. My dad has never even met her so we are so excited! Here is a little post of recent happenings because it is going to be a long time (2 weeks!) before we get back and I can post again.
The 4th of July Lucy!

Swimming with Daddy

The night before we left we went to Stake Lagoon Day. It was Lucy's first time, she did great and Macey didn't even mind when Lucy kept pulling her hair during the boat ride.

Family Pictures

A litte while ago Katherine took some family pictures of us. I was really excited to have her do this because I have TONS of pictures of Brady and Lucy, or just Lucy, but I can count on one hand the number I have of me and baby girl. It's sad. I have been meaning to post these for quite some time, so here they are! Thank you again Katherine, we love them!

Goin Back to Cali

Brady, Lucy and I just got back from our Cali vacation! It was awesome. Brady's little brother graduated from High school so we went back to see that and stayed for a week and a half. We were definitly in need a Cali vacation, we hadn't been back there in a year and a half! Lucy was really good in the car, considering its a 9 1/2 hour drive! She slept a little bit but mostly was just awake and playing with her toys. Little angel. I took a lot of pictures....

We got to go visit Aunt Robyn and Uncle Jake (my oldest brother) and cousins, Nick, Carly and Annelise. They live a little less than an hour away from Brady's parents. We love to be able to see them whenever we go to Cali and this one was especially fun because they had never met Lucy!

Sweet little Annelise

Everyone (too bad it's a little blurry!)

Brady's brother got graduation ballons and Lucy was obsessed with them! Such a little grabber.

I love this one cause she's peering at me like, this is MY balloon

While we were there Lucy was teething the whole time! By the time we left she had 2 very noticable teeth. I guess she found a way to ease the pain because she would not stop making this face:

and drooling. It was hilarious.

Having fun with Great-Grandma Cooley :)

Note to self: Carrots are a great teething tool. She left little bite marks in em!

Brady's sister also came for the graduation. Lucy had so much fun playing with her girls.

Lucy and Lilly. Apparently Lucy thinks she is much bigger than she actually is. Haha.

We were able to take Lucy to the park for the first time! She loved loved loved it! There is only so much a little girl like her can do at the park but she did it all! It was so much fun.

She had such a good time in the swing.

Baby and Daddy, super cute.

She had this look on her face most of the time while we were swinging :)

Takin a crack at the slide

Another thing for her to play in!

Baby and Mommy

Brady's mom has some beautiful flowers. I couldn't resist taking Lucy out there for some pictures.

One of the last days we were there we were able to drive up to Tahoe. It's about 2 1/2 hrs from Brady's house. It was a little chilly but still so worth it! We had lunch on the beach, rode on some bike trails and were able to walk through these cool old historic houses.

Oh yeah, we found these on a playground there and couldn't resist the photo op!

So strong!!

These houses were really cool

Lilly is so cute! She is like a photographer's dream come true. You tell her how to pose and she just does it. Oh so cute.

One final picture.

Our trip was aweome but we are glad to be home :)
